Our time is no longer truly our own.
Commutes, toilet breaks, or just before you sleep - chunks of time disappear as you find yourself scrolling mindlessly.
We tried all the “solutions” on the market, but they’re all built on a fundamental misunderstanding — screen addiction is not an individual problem, it can’t be solved alone.
There is a trillion dollar industry built upon monetising your attention, and the best way to do that is to get YOU addicted. Each notification, each scroll, each auto play is a feature scientifically designed to keep you hooked and override your self control.

Against all this…
willpower is not enough.
Most screen time blockers are just speed bumps, ignored and overridden.
Together with psychologists and behaviour change experts, we created a solution that actually works, not just for you, but for the friends who keep you accountable.
With Snitch, your time isn't just yours. Users share a pot of time with friends and keep eachother accountable.
Users justify their reason for opening the troublesome apps to friend group.
Friends are also notified if you scroll too long, and can message you to get off.
We also know that extra time is only as valuable as what you spend it on. Snitch is committed to bringing you options to create memories.
We offer monthly rewards to groups smashing their screen time goals.

Four trial studies with a total of 38 participants provided qualitative insights and validated features through A/B testing.

Users immediately saw results.
Snitch puts community first. Breaking habits doesn't have to be a solo mission. Real change happens when you're supported, challenged and inspired by people who get it.
The team is now bringing Snitch to life in our spare time post-university.
We are seeking £80,000 in pre-launch capital requirement, which we intend to raise through crowdfunding, grants and bootstrapping to maintain equity. We have all the skills we need to make this happen.
Awareness and advertisement are our biggest hurdles now.
